Day 3: Wet&Wild Water Olympics!!!

Camp was split into four teams for the Water Olympics. Each team selected a name and prepared themselves for the first competition: Boat Upcycling!

Armed with our extensive boat training from yesterday, the contents of the recycling bin, and a roll of duct tape. each team set out to build a boat.

Gan Shalom heard about this incredible Olympic sport and came to compete as well.

After an incredible process of creativity the boats were complete. There was a ferry, a speed boat, two pirate ships, and some extra special creations.

All the boats looked good, but it was time for the real test: were they seafaring? We went out to the pool to test them.

They all floated!!! An hour later, they were still all floating! But we weren't standing there watching them.

We were inside competing in the next Olympic event: sponge ball toss!!!

Each team tried to throw the sponge balls through the hole. Easy in theory, but actually, very challenging!

The game ended with a round of 'Hit Shmuly with the Sponges'!

The next sports was a race! Armed with a straw, each team raced to blow their colored blob of water to the other end of the table.

Instead of a winner, we had a beautiful color combination on the tables!

Next we played more active team sports, like Steal the Salami.

For the campers who were feeling more cerebral than athletic there were water word puzzles to complete. Yizka made over 100 words from the words "There is no water, except Torah"!

The artistic had a chance at water art.  Everyone had fun and at the end, everyone won, each team for its own strengths.
